Hey there,
So I've had my iMac for quite a few years now, and it simply doesn't run as it did when new. It's sluggish and I'm figuring the best solution is a scorched earth policy. Level it right down and do a 100% fresh install of Mountain Lion, and start anew. However I am wondering if there is a way to backup my applications folder so I do not have to go back and re-do it all. For instance, if I simply back up my applications folder proper, it will save the apps in the folder but all the other files, like the ones in the Application Support, won't make it in. Is there a program that backs up the application, plus any files linked to the application? For instance Hazel knows when I'm deleting a file to delete any files linked to that one, is there a backup program that does the same?
Thanks!
