Hi ppl,

I've manually changed the icon's look of my external hdd. But when I use superduper to smartbackup (i'm backup up only Documents, Pictures, Desktop and Music) the custom icons of my external hdd is reverted back to the yellow icon. I have a feeling the file which defines the icon is being deleted by superduper, but I don't know which.
any idea ppl?
thanks!

The icon is stored in an invisible file on the drive. it is called _Volume.icns or something like that I think. You could try a program to show invisibles, such as Invisibles and copy it manually. Alternatively, get info on the drive with the icon, select the small icon in the info window so it has a blue/graphite outline, copy it, and paste it on the restored drive.

is there not a script where I can include in superduper to retain the external hdd's own volumeicon?

okay, on another topic totally, which file do i need to backup to preserve my ical, address book, and adium's chat log?
