D dub-77 macrumors newbie Jul 3, 2010 #2 Right click your device in the left pane in iTunes and click backup. It backs up all your settings, SMS, email wifi networks you have joined etc.

When people talk about restarting their phone, does that mean just turning it off and on with the on/off button on the top?
