Backing Up Safari Bookmarks (w/out MobileMe)

I don't use MobileMe to synch my safari bookmarks between desktop and iphone because I prefer to use different sets of bookmarks for each.

So is there any other mechanism for backing up my iphone bookmarks? (e.g. in case I ever lose the phone)

I know with a JB iphone you can ssh to /private/var/mobile/library/safari and save the bookmarks.db file and then copy it back after you update or restore.

I am synching my bookmarks between Safari and Firefox on 2 machines with a remote MobileMe synch to iPhone... works a charm.
