I'm currently still on 2.1 since my iPhone is hacked and my phone takes forever to backup. I let it sit for 2 hours the other night and it didn't even seem like it was moving. Is there anything I can do? My fiance is on 2.2.1 and her's backs up in < 1 minute.

I don't know what you meant by hacked (unlocked or jailbroken), but 2.2.1 can be jailbroken so why not update? 😕
It's just jailbroken. I was just waiting for 3.0 to update. Regardless, I need to get one last backup before I update anyway.
