Hi guys, I already own a 2tb Time Capsule which i love, but I am thinking about upgrading my synolgoy at work and bringing home the old one to use as a media server and a backup for non-OS machines.

i'd like to keep using my time capsule but is it possible to back it up to the NAS? it looks like Synology has worked out the issues of using one of their diskstations as for time machine wirelessly, but i've only had the time capsule since this summer so i'd hate to just stop using it...
i suppose i could switch my time machine to the disk station and use the time capsule as external storage but i'd really be curious to know what other people have done with both devices, or if they're just totally redundant.

    thanks!

With Mountain Lion and later, you can set up more than 1 Time Machine backup target in OS X Preferences. So it will round-robin between them all. That's what I've done. 2 separate backups are better than one ;)
