Backlighting hacks for current MacBook?

Hi all,

My partner wants to get a new white plastic MacBook, but really wants the backlit keys from the MacBook Pros.

Has anyone been able to achieve this on the current model or post links?

If there was a mod, the time + cost of materials would most likely be in the price range of a MBP
