Backlit keyboard wacky after 10.5.2

My backlit keyboard seems to always want to be on after I updated. unless I have overhead lighting on it. Seems like it is not sensing ambient light. Maybe it is just me but I'm pretty sure it wasn't like this before.

Anyone else?

Mine hasnt done that. But...check this.

System Prefs----->Displays----->Unchceck "Automatically Adjust Brightness..."

I have the same problem and its driving me nuts! Unless I basically shine a light directly on the keyboard, the backlighting is always on.

Then sometimes, in the dark, it'll turn itself off.

10.5.2 has made it dyslexic. I submitted a bug report but man, this is annoying.

Me too! I upgraded and the keyboard lights up like a Christmas tree!

When I clicked "Automatically Adjust" on and off, it seems to work for a while, but then it gets all dyslexic again. I already reset the PMU and all that, but no joy.

Yes, my MBP's back-lit keyboard seems to have become normal again. 🙂

Everything is back to normal here. I am even running fine with my external monitor.
