I'm backing up my iPhoto folder for now to a DVD-R. I've not used this before, nor written anything to a DVD before. Is this a one write option?? It's not a rewritable DVD. I thought I could write to, not "close" the DVD and rewrite to it later. I understood I wouldn't be able to do anything to the files I'm writing to it today??? Am I correct or what??
Thanks.
Frank

When writing to either a DVD-R or DVD-RW it is a one time session. The only difference is that DVD-RW are resuable. Does this answer your questions.

If you purchase DVDRW disk you can reuse them for backing up.
