backup after 3.0 upgrade is taking forever!

it's been almost half an hour... I have an iphone 3g with 8G of capacity, and i've only used half of it, and my previous updates have never taken this long... what is going on?!!!

That's because it's doing a full backup. Backups after the first are incremental and much quicker.

Subsequential backups will be much faster, I promise you.

It took me a little over an hour with 3.0 GM. It'll finish. 🙂

your first backup will take a while.
