couple of questions
1.)if im on 4.2.1 and i have my blobs saved for 4.1 through tinyumbrella, if i back my phone up to itunes while its currently on 4.2.1 and downgrade to 4.1, if i place the backup from 4.2.1 back on while on 4.1, will it stay on 4.1 even though i backed it up on 4.2.1?

2.) at the same time if i backup a jailbroken phone, upgrade to a new firmware or downgrade if i have blobs, then place the backup from the jailbroken iphone on the stock fw, it is impossible to have the jailbroken apps and themes back on correct? i think i remember reading somewhere people talked about pkgbackup for this

any help is appreciated. thanks

1. Yes. You'll lose any 4.2.1-exclusive apps though.
2. Yes. Cydia-based programs have almost nothing to do with the official backup--except for the minute trace it leaves. Restoring cydia's programs requires manual means or automated through programs like pkgbackup. I haven't used any of them; if you search the forums, you can find testimonials about the two cydia backups.
