Hello,

I'm getting 13" for my development machine. I'm used to work in VM, so my initial though was to use VMWare fusion and run my VM (which I use on windows via VMWare workstation). So, when I get new laptop, I can just copy VM over and keep on working in a same environment. My backup is easy, I just copy whole image to external drive once in a while. Beauty is that if Macbook fails - I can take image to any hardware and keep on going..

Now.. I read about VMWare Fusion feature where it can run bootcamp partition. This is super-cool. For longer sessions I can boot into Windows directly and not pay hypervisor price. For shorter sessions after hours, etc - I can just run it in VMWare.

But how do I backup my system? Is there any easy way to backup bootcamp partition to external drive and restore it to new laptop?
