Just curious what everyone's using to backup their OS drives? I currently have a G4 mini with a 80GB internal HD, ministack w/ an 80GB HD, and a 300GB FW drive ( iMove projects, DVD rips, etc). Mini is going to the kids. Next system will most likely be a 24" iMac. Since I have a scanner, 2 printers, and a wired mouse, the iMac won't give me enough usb 2.0 ports. Would also need another one for iPod and camera plugins. Short term is to connect both the miniStack and external FW enclosures to the iMac. That'll preserve my backup routine and give me enough usb ports. Are there better enclosures out there that'll hold multiple HDs and provide additional ubs ports?

You can buy a USB 2.0 Hub to connect the Camera, iPod etc, and leave the FW ports available to more "heavy" stuff :) I bought a USB HUB 2.0 for 4€ with 4 slots and I'm pretty sure there are some FW Hub's out there too .

Don't know if it's the kind of answer you were looking for though.
