Backup : Could not start session with iphone

[ISO:HELP]

running 6.1.3 on an older iphone than I had before..

I want to back up my contacts from last OCT.

Every time I have tried it gives me "could not start session with iphone" with the apple error.

Does anyone here Have any suggestions on a proper thread or idea for me.

I am using my admin user to go about this task...

Searched here for a while still looking for the thread to help me..

This sounds simple but did you reboot the phone and your computer then try again? The only time I've seen that error I did all that and it was fine.

Ill shut off my computer and Iphone together..leave iphone plugged into the computer via usb and see what happens when I turn on the macbook pro..That is what you are suggesting correct?

Didn't work..

This is what I still get..

I turned both macbookpro off and iphone 4 off, started MBP up and still got the same error..

and for the record the phone is not jailbroken
