Hello there

I am going to the Apple Store later & they might change my iPhone.

I’m worried I would lost my today’s ring and all the activity data on my Apple Watch. It’s a white Watch.

When I do backup on iCloud, does it backup everything from the Watch?

How can I check Watch data is properly backed up ?

It does back up, but you can’t check it. When you get your new phone and it restores from backup your watch will be paired again. If for some reason you need to erase the watch when you pair it again iOS will ask if you want to restore from a backup.

Oh ok so just to confirm my exercice ring of today will be kept?

I would think so. But again I don’t know because I have no idea when the watch backs up. But I would think that when you get your phone back and you restore it your watch will sync to the phone again. I’m assuming you’re gonna continue to use your watch, in a limited capacity, while your phone is being repaired.

The most secured way to backup your data is to do an Encrypted Backup from iTunes (on Mac -> from Finder)
Do not forget to check the encrypted option to get sure that all your health data are saved in the backup.

Thanks. I just got my new phone and all data is up to date, except a miss-match about my August challenge between the Watch and the Activity app:

This is weird!

I waited few hours and on my phone and it still shows the ring challenge. But on my Watch I have both, now.

That’s cool hope I can win both.
