I have an iMac with OSX 10.9 and a USB SUPER DRIVE-ZML. The Super Drive is a gift and I have not used it. Can it be used as a e-mail backup to CD's? If so, How do I transfer my email messages to the Super Drive? I have created a folder named E-mail Backup on the disk but that is about all I have been able to do. I can drag a file from my email into it but can't open it.

Any instruction on if or how this can be done?

    Thank you.

Assuming you're using the Mail app in Mavericks, what you need to do is export your mailboxes to a file.

Then, drag those files to your CD or DVD for burning.
