iPod Backup Podcasts?

Simple question: Can you backup Podcasts (video and audio)?
If so how?

I back up all of the Ask-a-Ninja podcasts by selecting them in iTunes and dragging them out of iTunes and dropping them into a folder on an external drive.

yeah copy and paste onto external HDD or USB drive or whatever - i normally use my secondary HDD.
