Backup process taking hours, whats wrong?

I'm trying to update to the 2.0 firmware, but my IPhone has been trying to backup for hours now. I've disconnected, and started the process over again but I achieve the same results. Any help would be appreciated.

Just have to let it run its course, takes a very long while but it eventually gets it done.
