BackUp Software on WD Harddrive ? Erase ?

i just bought a new WD MyBook 500 GB harddive, and there is all this lame back up software on it......Should i just erase everything. or is it crucial to keep some of it on there ?

Useless as you said, I erased it on my MyBook.

If the software won't work on a Mac and I'd bet it isn't, then go ahead and format/erase the drive. You'll get more space to use on the drive that way.

You can erase everything. All the software is also on the disk that is included with the drive.
