hey guys

and really liked the idea (having a hard drive dock, and just alot of OEM drives with all your stuff)

i live in the UK, and Maplin sells some SATA docks, but they're all USB. do you know of any firewire 800 solutions? (google didnt help) or any alternatives?

Using bare drives makes a lot of sense - you can get 2TB drives now for less than £80.

I use plastic library cases by WIEBETECH to keep the bare HDDs safe.

those look good, but again, they seem to ship out of the US. last time i bought stuff from the us i had to pay a hefty tax to uk customs. any uk alternatives?
