I tried installing Little Snitch last night on one of my hard drives, after which my system took a big dump. Diskwarrior claimed to have repaired the disk, but upon reloading into that partition I get a kernel panic. Archive and install won't help. I am resigned to formatting, but there is a lot of information on that HD I would like to retain. I can boot into OSX on my other HD, but does anyone have a suggestion for a program that will bring that information onto my working HD. I have used data rescue before, but would like something a little more automated and don't know what program would be best. Preferably my end result would be the HD I can boot up into being as close to possible as my old HD was before it went down.
Thanks in advance

I wouldn't rely on anything automated for retrieving your data. I'd try accessing it manually to avoid any further problems from unnecessary strain on the drive. Sometimes people find that Target Disk Mode has the most luck when it comes to retrieving data from a failing drive. :)
