I posted this in the iOS 8 thread but this one seems a little more active...

I'm currently running 8.3 on my iPhone 6. My phone has been running sluggish and freezing here and there for a while now. A few weeks ago I decided it was time to restore to new and start over (not restore from a backup). However, once I got logged in and running, I noticed all my Activity App data that I had built up over the last month while using my Apple Watch was gone! I know these data are backed up with the iCloud or iTunes backup, but is there away to restore a phone to new but still have all my activity data? I want to restore to a fresh 8.3 version, or for sure, 8.4 as new when it drops. Any advice? I found the below thread and it looks like there isn't the option to start fresh and still have your activity data (like having Notes, contacts, etc. saved in iCloud). I had to restore my 8.3 backup that day just to get my data back. But I'm still dealing with the sluggishness and freezing of a phone that needs a fresh restore.

yea i don't think there is a way to do that. if there was a slider option like for contacts, photo stream, notes etc under iCloud settings that would be the only way. but their isn't. next time maybe also use an app like strava as well. i started new but since i use strava for cycling (it also has running etc..) it always saves everything i've done no matter if i delete the app.

yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. I was hoping to see an Activity Data slider on iCloud settings on iOS 9. I do a lot of boot camp style workouts, so I like keeping my workout data in the Activity App (since the "other" mode in the Workout App does quite well). Apps like Strava, Runkeeper, etc. don't handle these types of workouts very well, at least until Apple opens up HR data to 3rd party apps. I prefer to use Map My Run+ when I run / bike, but I would like to keep my Activity data from all my workouts and walks/runs in tact if I restore to new.
