I already searched for this one, and couldn't find anything :(

I'm trying to install XP on my Mac, because I have to use programs only available for Windows, and will do it through Bootcamp. It first says that I need to make a backup, and my question, as dumb as it is, is that, how the hell do I make a backup??:confused:

Please, forgive my ignorance, and help me

I've always used Time Machine. Not that I've had a problem with data loss from installing another operating system.

Yes and Time Machine will even format it properly if necessary.

I've tried using an external hard drive, with information on it. And it says I need to erase everything on it, why is this?

The drive is more than likely not formatted to HFS+.
