I have a MBP 2 GHz with 2 GB of Ram. OSX 10.5.2 with all my software updated. I have a strange dashboard problem. When I use certain programs like "Web Clip" ,"i Stat pro" or most any other downloadable program from apple it eats up my CPU. It uses my CPU 80 to 90% constantly. WHATS GOING ON? I have uninstalled these programs and installed the newer versions and still having the same problem. Please help, I must have my dashboard back safe and sound.

constantly? it should only be using that much when you are looking at dashboard.

run activity monitor while db is inactivated and make sure.

Yes I have done that. Activity monitor is what was telling me about my problem. Even when I'm not using Dashboard, it's still running my CPU to the ground in the background.
