iPod Bad for your iPod?

Is it bad for your iPod to leave it mounted to your computer/iTunes?

The screen stays on (I really do not like this).


Also is the battery charging while it is mounted?

Yes it charges when connected to your computer.

It isnt necassarily "bad" it will just shorten the screens life though shortly. It does charge the battery when conneceted to the computer however.

Is there anyway to shut the screen off while it is mounted to the computer?

I would like to use it as extra space, but not if the screen is always going to be on.
