I have no scratches on the back but the front of my iphone 4 has two very minor scratches that I can see if I reflect light off off it and a couple more that I can only see in very bright sunlight.

None of my previous iPhones had any scratches at all (on the glass).

I had the issue with the "dots" whenever I would get fingerprints on my screen, and it got worse by the day. I just brought it into the apple store an hour ago and got it replaced within minutes :)

the man helping me seemed to be pretty surprised with the problem, but quickly acknowledged that the phone needed replacing

What are these "dots" I'm hearing people speak of? I have had my 4 for about a day now I got it last night and about an hour ago I got my invisible shield installed so I haven't noticed these dots. Is it just part of how the display is?

Prior to this thread I had both heard about this defect and seen it. There are about forty people I work with that bought iPhone 4 models when I bought mine. While my phone is OK so far, I've seen quite a few that look pretty bad. Many of us have discussed this, and come to the conclusion that it seems as though this phone suffers from marginal quality control. There are a large number of issues that concern us. Is this the new, more casual, lower quality Apple?
