Bad quality on FaceTime on iPhone X

When I FaceTime my wife and we are both on WiFi the quality is so so. When I FaceTime my daughter who has a iPhone 8 with both on WiFi the quality is real good. I even tested it when we are home on the same WiFi network and did X to X and it was so so quality yet X to 8 was great. Any one have the same problem and if so any suggestions to fix it
