Bad quality pics and vids when uploaded to pc

When I put my pics and vids on the pc there really bad quality but when I view them on my iphone 5 there just amazing.

Does this happen to anyone else.

I did do research on google so please don't make me feel like a dumbass.

I have Windows 7 BTW.
 
It's probably the screen size. When you look on the iPhone screen the low resolation photo looks okay. When you stretch it to the PC screen, the picture is blown up showing all its flaws. Look at it on your PC again but keep the picture really small. How does it look now? Also what is the quality of the PC screen.

Are actually cameras meant to put on to the PC because when I do it's amazing quality.
