Ok,

I'm afraid the safari rending issue is out of my hands. It seems to be an obscure bug somewhere and I don't think I can do anything about it on my end.

Now... there was another issue which I'm not sure what the status of it is.

attachment.php

bad server response error. Are people still getting these? Cause I'm going to start moving the server settings back to what they were. Let me know if it causes these problems to recur, or if they are still happening.

I just turned on gziping the site again.

Yep, just got two of these but haven't had any badly rendered pages. I guess it's a case of one or the other.

I think I prefer these loading errors to the rendering issues because the badly rendered page can be misleading. I had a few that looked normal but hadn't given me the last few posts. I'd prefer to see this loading error page, if given a choice. :)

And ironically, I got the loading error when I submitted this reply. :p

Just a thought, but since these rendering/server issues have come up, I have been regularly switching between my regular browser (Shiira) and Safari (this is being posted using Safari) to see what I get. MR just keeps behaving itself time after time. I am also running Panther (10.3.9). Any chance that this might be a Tiger problem?

Just my ignorant .02 worth.......
