Hi there,

Maybe you guys can tell me what's going on...

I own an iPhone 6s. Whenever I talk to someone on the phone, the sound is perfect.

But after my wife got her iPhone Xs Max and I'm on the phone with her, she sounds really bad.
I'm not sure how to describe it. It sounds like when you talk to someone over the Internet and there's a low bitrate or something. Maybe... like if she's underwater?
I hope you guys know what I mean.

Is this an issue with the iPhone Xs (Max)?
Is there a way to fix this? Cause I think it's ridicules that she spend all that money on her phone while it sounds like ©®@p

We have the same carrier and we never had this issue with her previous iPhone.

Can it be an issue with voLTE?

Is it using Wifi calling? I have seen this happen with my phone when I am not very close to the router.
Nah. It’s not over WiFi.
I turned 4G only on for data now.

See if that’ll make a change
