I've posted this once before, and got no responses, but I really need some help.

I want to use Mail as a secondary email app, and therefore I also want to transfer all my email from Thunderbird into Mail. I went into Tbird and copied all the inboxes, adding .mbox as an extension, and then imported them into Mail. The problem is, even though the import went fine, it imported all email from the history of my account into Mail, and not just the messages in Thunderbird.

I went into Gmail online and cleared everything out, and tried the import again, but it still imports thousands of extra emails that i don't want, and don't want to have to sort through.

Any advice?

Help would be greatly appreciated.

i dont use thunderbird... but i'd figure you'll have to delete the emails you don't want from thunderbird first before you import? if "history" being that you've already deleted, perhaps purge the trashcan or something like that?

hopefully it helps

I've already purged the trash, and there's no difference.

u need to compact each of the folders inside Tbird before those messages really gone.
