Badly need help transferring data from iPhone 6 Plus to iPhone 6s

I back up my iPhone 6 Plus, but when I plug in my 6s the backup isn't showing. Instead it's showing backups for the 6s, almost like it's a different users phone all together.

What do I do?

You probably need to fully reset/erase your 6s and restore with 6+ backup.

Well. This really sucks. I read online I have to basically use a backup with an older version..which was like eons ago...

Maybe you can update the 6s to 9.1 beta then try to restore from backup?

I'll just keep the 6 Plus for now. I really don't want the hassle. When 9.1 is released I might switch again.
