So upon resetting my iPad one this afternoon I came across this.
2012-01-17%20at%2020.07.42.png

I noticed that this is persistent after reset and they move as any other apps do across the home screen when in wiggle mode. They can also be foldered but once dropped in a folder become the default newsstand app. I am not jailbroken and news stand was not in a folder to begin with.

Anybody else experienced this?

Huh. Though I like the newsstand functionality, I'd love the option to get standalone icons for a couple key pubs that I read frequently.

It's kind of neat but they have to be the last icons in a row or they overlap other icons. Oddly, when I placed MacLife in a folder it became Newstand but when I placed NYT in a folder it stayed the NYT and looked odd during folder animations.

I seen this the other night. It happened when I put newstand into a folder then downloading something on to it. Try moving newstand out of the folder and redownloading the content.
