Bagpuss creator Oliver Postgate dies

    Some sad news for us UKers of a certain age... Oliver Postgate – who along with Peter Firmin created children's favourites Bagpuss, Ivor the Engine, the Clangers and Noggin the Nog – has died aged 83.

    I used to love these shows when I was a little Jaffa, and I'm not alone – Bagpuss regularly topped polls for the most popular British kids show of all time, and Postgate and Firmin's other creations would generally score highly too.

    I used to love the episode when the mice made chocolate biscuits!

    Indeed, without a doubt that is the greatest episode of Bagpuss of all time. :D

    Could only have been better if they had made Jaffa Cakes.
