I used to struggle. But let me tell you the greatest advice - don't browse the internet.

Its pretty simple. Mac Rumors, MSN etc are an absolute killer for productivity. I find I can do an hours more work by not using the internet outside of work related research, within the same timespan. That adds up after a week.

Im in the position where my work is actually my interest too. Part of my job is to keep completely up to speed on our competitors, which so happen to be Google, Yahoo, Apple etc. So its often hard to separate work from home life. But at the very least if I am doing work at home, its something I enjoy. Reminds me of what Steve Jobs said at the commencement address

Steve Jobs said:
Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. Don't lose faith. I'm convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that I loved what I did. You've got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it.
