Since my posts keep on getting deleted, I'd like a permanent account ban please. Thank you.

Two things:
1. Why not try post within the rules? I'm sure the mods aren't deleting your posts for random reasons. (and even if you haven't had time to read the rules, posting "nicely" and keeping the politics to PRSI goes a long way here)
2. If you don't want to post here, then don't. Why do you need to make statement to have your account locked?

I think he just to want entirely clear all traces here, including his account, there’s quite understandable.

I have a suggestion for you.

Change password and get safari to generate a random password for your account
Remove the password from keychain
clear your browser cookies

That way you aren't making work for the admin.

How do I cancel my account?

There is normally no need to cancel a MacRumors account. If you expect not to need to post at MacRumors, you can simply stop visiting our site. There is nothing you need us to do. Under our Privacy...

I assume that there is a difference, that a difference exists, - or a distinction is drawn - between a request to cancel an account and a request to "ban" an account.

Normally, cancel would be used when a member asks to have their account closed. Then ban would be used when a moderator permanently bans (closes) an account due to a rules violation.

Thank you for that clarification, and that is what I had assumed.

However, a thread title that reads "ban request" did strike me as somewhat unusual, in the circumstances.
