Phonic Helix 18 Firewire

Well, the band decided to go with the Phonic (cheaper and no reports of bad firmware on the net). We've been using it with Cubase SE, with no problems. The powerbook has responded very well (even with 8 simultaneous recording tracks, 3 of them with effects). Each track is recognized by the software, but in a "crude" manner. None of the effects or volume of the mixer affects the signal that goes to the computer. You can only modify the gain in each track.

The preamps are a little more noisy than we would have wanted, but it was expected for that price. Not worse than a behringer or a cheap yamaha mixer.

Thanks for all the input in this forum. In particular, thanks to deggs37 to find the time to listen to our songs. We will be posting new songs very soon!!!
