B&O will produce better overall sound I am sure… but Airpods pro is hard to beat when it comes to connectivity and seamless integration with iPhones. Anyone who is not using iPHone should probably be happier with B&O.

My only question is how do they compare to Sennheiser's Momentum True Wireless 2 ear buds.
Beoplay's buds are larger, have shorter battery life and cost almost twice as much. Also, these are first ANCs true wireless from Beoplay therefore there is always risk they might be buggy.

The fact your first thought of tampons says more about you than anyone else.
Pretty common thing to see. Guess you weren’t around when they first where launched and there was pictures of tampons in peoples ears all over the internet. There could be worse things to see.

For that price, you can almost get a pair of AirPods Max! Guess, I'd rather have the AirPods Max!
They are a completely different product group - wireless in ear vs. over ear. It's like comparing a bacon sandwich to a bowl of soup.

Bang & Olufsen today announced Beoplay EQ, the Danish audio outfit's first true wireless headphones with adaptive active noise cancelation.

To achieve maximum noise cancelation, the buds use adaptive ANC that combines active noise cancellation with passive sealing. Six microphones allow for automatic adjustment of ANC levels and also make use of directional beamforming technology to improve call and speech quality.

The Beoplay EQ will retail for $399 (£349/€399), so they're $150 more expensive than Apple's AirPods Pro, but apart from the premium look, they do pack some solid features, including 20 hours' battery life when used in conjunction with the charging case, and 6.5 hours of playtime with ANC turned on (versus AirPods Pro's 4.5 hours). They also include a fast charge feature, so 20 minutes in the aluminum case gets you two hours of playtime.

The compact case supports both USB-C and Qi wireless charging, while the buds themselves are more reminiscent of Beats Studio Buds than AirPods, with a small profile and an ergonomic fit. They're IP54 dust and water resistant, and come with interchangeable ear tips in different sizes.

Wireless specs-wise, they support the aptX adaptive codec and the latest Bluetooth 5.2, and the set-up process is simplified on both Android and Apple devices thanks to the inclusion of Microsoft Swift Pair and Made for iPhone licenses.

Beoplay EQ come in Black Anthracite and Sand colors and will be available to purchase from August 19 via Bang & Olufsen's website and in Bang & Olufsen retail stores.

and yet the KEY specific part of having True Wireless earbuds that B&O and a Jabra continue to fail at is independent streaming to each headset vs master & slave which means you can ONLY use the Right earbud independently.

B&O is trying to be stylish like Apple and charging a premium yet sound quality and features are lacking. Until this independent streaming of Bluetooth audio I’ll never purchase another B&O product again. Also their customer service for warranty is a joke! That is something you can take to the bank.

ps. I do love how sleek the case is, placing the case battery in the center and offsetting the buds at an angle is smart. Their profile is really low and sleek like the Jabra Elite 75t/active 75t/85t’s something I wish the Sony XM4’s would have.

update I thought the profile of these AirPods was actually small in fact they stick out a little more than Sony XM4’s looking at their site.

I hear you on the independent bit, but the thing Jabra does right is the multi point connections and seamless switching between the connected devices. I have the 85t at the moment.

Before AirPod pros all other bluetooth ear buds while outside one ear bud would drop out while using my Apple Watch. The AirPods Pro always worked well never dropped out. I was told it was the W1 BT chip. I wonder if this pair of earbuds have this ability

Exactly the connectivity and seamless integration. I bought a pair of Bose Quiet Comfort noise canceling earbuds last year. By far, to me, a fairly better sound than the AirPod Pros and a big difference in house cancellation, in Bose’s favor. The problem I have is connecting them. They will say they are connected to iPhone yet no sound comes from them. Then you have to take them out of your ears back in charging case and go through it again. Then only to have the left ear bud play nothing and go through it again. The Bose and I do like Bose but these feel rushed. It even says it is connected to living room tv and I have never even paired them to the Apple TV so when the AirPod pros went on sale at Amazon I bought a set of those. No connection issues whatsoever. That is the one thing I love about the AirPod pros is the seamless and connectivity. Bose leaves a lot to be desired.

I'd definitely be interested in buying these. I have the H95's and they are spectacular and wonder how well these would perform.
I’d be cautious and wait for several reviews, their in ear products don’t compare well in quality comfort or daily use vs the competition.
I don't understand why people would pay $399 to walk around with two huge Bang & Olufsen logos in their ears.
People spend more on clothing and over $100k on cars JUST to push or drive for a logo. Shoes too. What brands do you purchase from that show their logo prominently?! Hmmm.
it will probably be good. However I think that the recently covered Nothing Ear 1 will make a much bigger impact in the market, keenly priced at only $99/set.

The Verge has already reviewed Nothing Ear 1.
To better phrase Dave2D’s YouTube preview of these … I’ll borrow from Public Enemy ‘don’t … dont, don’t, don‘t believe the hype!

Yepp. Got one too and can confirm. Multipoint connection with seamless switching is far more important to me than independent streaming to each bud.

Sound quality?

Anyway, I got a pair of the old ones and the new B&Ws problem is. They are great. But AirPods with Spatial Audio beat them both. I wonder if Apple will ever allow third parties to use their chips for Spatial Audio?

Which model of B&Ws have you got: PI7 or PI5? I was considering the PI5 but 4hrs battery life (for both models) while bluetooth streaming at an average playback volume is simply unacceptable in 2021 at these (premium) prices.

Got the pI7. Agree on battery life. Im not a fan of the mic too, can’t have a decent conversation Vs AirPods. Apple have done a marvellous job on AirPods mic especially in busy areas.

the pi7 are my on my desk working, when im out apart from exercise it’s always the AirPods Pro.

what irks me is that heavily-used AirPods have a shelf life that is very short. I replaced my standard AirPods after 14 months because the battery life was about 50 minutes. Thankfully under 2 year warranty so free but still puts me off these things with high price tags.....
