I have several banking apps in different countries and since moving to iPhone 17/iOS26, the apps do not save the password. I have FaceID enabled, I am able to successfully login, but then when I close the app and re-open, I get prompted again to enter the password.

I am using 1Password to auto fill the password, however, never had an issue on previous iPhones/iOS versions.

I checked app settings and don't see any specific options in security or to keep asking for a password - any ideas please?

yes, other apps including other banking apps work fine. I would use passkeys but this is app specific.
Any other ideas?
Go into the setting on the banking app and disable faceID, close the app down then log in again with your bank passcode, then switch faceID back on. I have to do this with my NatWest app. Hope this helps.

Thanks, this reset of Face ID worked!
