That is too much!

When is Paris Hilton going to have a remix of "Stars are Blind".

I wonder how many records she will sell then.

I've never heard of this guy before. Some of his stuff is cool.

I have to say though, I think the reason people are so into ripping paris is because she doesn't hide the fact that she's in it for the celebrity. She doesn't pretend. There are lots of people just like her, they are just more coy about it, they fake like they can sing or they can act or whatever. At least Paris doesn't pretend to be serious. In conclusion, I am frustrated by them, but even more so by the machine that creates them. I like Paris because for me she's kinda like an andy warhol piece - her existence makes the hollowness of what our society idolizes more apparent. And celebrates it.

And back on banksy--- I think his art is more suited to the big graffiti art pieces. It is meant to be in your face, to "start a fight" (I liked that line). The painted pieces seemed a little too deliberate, the juxtapositions weren't all that clever and seemed more interested in trying to wrankle people by being belligerent, vandalistic. That's all well and good, but there are plenty of vandals. I think my favorite thing was the video of him spray painting the empty billboard, "the joy of not being sold anything".

Are you guys sure he wasn't hired by Hilton's PR staff? Anyone with half a brain or even a Paris brain would realise this will (further) boost sales of the CD.

Yeah you've read the comments in the sleeve of course.

Rich.

How much do you think one of the altered CDs is worth, as a 1 in 500 piece of art created by a genuinely successful artist? I give it a day until these things are on eBay.

Aye, I reckon the altered CDs will be worth far more.

To be honest, I wouldn't surprised to see their value go up to about £100 in a few years.

Value of an artwork is nowt to do with the intrinstic art, it's all to do with how famous the artist is, the impact that piece of art has had, and how much people will pay for the piece. How much is a Duchamps urinal worth?

Banksy used to be pretty obscure, but after 10 - 15 years of hard work, he's on the way to becoming an overnight success. Good luck to him.

This guy is amazing. I've spent the evening reading up on him and looking at his work...wow. Tommorow I'm going to learn how to cut stencils.

Plus one guy has three (or even more) to sell - that's a grand just for having his girlfriend steal the things from the store where she works. I could do with some of that easy money.

I'm probably wrong, but this banksy person seems like an attention whore.

You are being sarcastic, aren't you?

There's a hell of a lot of his work that goes totally un noticed by the media and the general public!

He's less of an attention whore than the likes of Emin!
