It's going to be the logo and maybe one string of text. That's it.

But yes, I suppose the colours could symbolize something more.

keynote

So is anyone else hoping someone other than Tim Cook will give the keynote? I have nothing personal against the man, but he really lacks the charisma to give an exciting product launch. Hope they let Scott Foristell deliver it... or better yet Sir Jonny Ives

i also hope there's a suprise waiting for us. Something we didnt saw in rumors before. Maybe tactile feedback, or a smart bezel. Although ofcource that chance is ultra low.
128gb and a good cpu/gpu upgrade will also make me happy and suprised though.

Err Just a question

Unusual colour scheme for an iPad launch. I Might be wrong, but didn;t Apple usually reserve these colourful banners for an iPod announcement? I sincerely hope I'm wrong on this. Credit card is burning a hole in my wallet.;)

Ohhmmmmm..

Amazing and a tad bit scary that I am sitting here and watching this, too (30-years, grown-up, physician, soon gonna get married...nothing else to do?)...

Physician? Then use your powers and tell us what the announcement is going to be already!!

Scott Forstall Probably is going to introduce the new Software as in iOS 5.1 :apple:

after all he's the VP of iOS Software. ;)

Actually, the iPad 1 had very similar multi-color paint splotches for the banners at the 2010 keynote. And last year's iPad event was a Apple logo surrounded by multi-colour dots. So, this is actually the norm for iPad banners.

It looks like the big announcement on Wed is that Apple will re-issue MacPaint! Ha.

Probably so..Sir Ives is a creative genius but not a marketing presenter kind of guy. Total respect for his skills and he knows his limits as well, from some previous quotes couple of years back.

Yeah no one will ever be as good as Steve.

Ah, an Apple logo with lots of color splashed around it. That's about right. Maybe they'll show off how sexy that Photoshop Touch app looks on a retina iPad? Oh the irony. :)

Pressure Sensitive Capacitive Screen

My prediction is an HD screen that's capacitive and pressure sensitive, appealing to artists and opening up possibilities for game design... "see... And touch."

Yeah Ive has said he hates presenting (and that his drawing skills are crap). So as much as I'd love to see him present I don't think it will happen. My guess is we'll get Phil Schiller, Scott Forstall and maybe Eddy Cue if there's something Apple TV related.

Apple are bringing out iPod touches about three times the size of the current models in anodized colors similar to iPod nanos. This will improve the bland looking tablet market with colors and also compete with new tablets like the child tab. Also the the kindle fire.

I wish....it's what I want!

Poor Wacom will be out of business :(

As stated before

"see" - AppleTV with 1080p and TV subscriptions
"touch" - iPad3 obviously

They will not change the reliable touch screen technology just to screw around with an otherwise perfect product.

So. Retina, RAM, CPU ... that's all.
... and a Home Button ;)
