macOS Barcode Scanning in Mac OS X (Obj-C)

Hi,

I'm tearing my hair out here. Has anyone managed to find a way to take an NSImage and scan a barcode (if one is detected) contained in it? If so, can you give me any suggestions?

I've tried this:

...which seems like it should work but for the life of me I can't get any of the examples to build. Just a string of build errors that goes on for a fortnight. I'd happily try any alternatives so long as they work in Obj-C on Mac OS X.

Please help me save what remains of my hair.
