Have you people noticed that the base 15" MBP i5 outperforms the base iMac 27''. They cost almost the same...

iMac 27" C2D 3.06 - 4250 Geekbench

In the graphic department they are pretty close too.

I think that the base 15" is the best value for your money on the entire apple line up.

Who knows what apple will do to the iMac @ WWDC (core i3 or i5 anybody...)?

If they had core i7 or possibly hexacore, then it would be incredible.
btw, the scores are awsome. My MBP goes up to 3600.

Yeah it's sweet! Awsime to see the money saved and the boost in performance by waiting fir the refresh rather than getting the old top end model. Can get the bew base model and it's super quick!
