I’m about to pull the trigger on a new (base model) 16” MBP. Besides the SSD space, which upgrade is more important: Ram or Graphics? I plan on editing YouTube videos in Final Cut Pro and doing some light photo editing in PS & LR

which base model? i7 or i9
 
If you intend to keep the machine for 4 years or more I'd suggest you get the 32GB of RAM and 5500M option.

If you're only going to keep it 1-2 years I'd use the base spec and not upgrade either the RAM or GPU.
 
Probably RAM.
PS doesn't take advantage of GPU.
FCPX does, but the difference between the chips is not as huge as if you page out to your current working drive.

Which 5500? The 4gb or 8gb?
