Praesto - keep in mind $300 off MSRP is WAY more than the student discount... the mover's coupon is just icing on the cake!

I might have to return the 13" and get this 15". That's a damn good deal. This is the latest model right?

It's only $100 more and right now Apple is offering a $100 gift card so it's realt no different. Three best buys and all have me the same reason. Anyone getting it is super lucky. I went to best buys in different cities

How do you get the $100 gift card? I paid $1300 for my 13" with tax but for $250 more It might be worth it.

I just picked one up. $1484 plus tax. Am I still able to get the $100 apple gift card? I can't find out anything about that. Thanks for posting this and for the help!

How are you getting these amazing prices.. I wish I had your best buy here. Since I did not, I will have to wait months before I finally get a laptop. As for the gift card you have to purchase the computer directly from Apple. It was on the front page here at Mac Rumors for a bit.

That is a link. I wish you could have picked me up the laptop I want. I would have purchase it from you via eBay (safe).

Honestly they did it no questions asked. Could you buy it over the phone for in store pickup?

I got the high end 15". Currently on sale for $2199.00 get a change of address packet from the post office. Use the 10% off one item coupon for Best Buy. Takes the price to $1979.00. I did this yesterday.

I wonder if I they would honor it if I took a picture of my receipt for you

I actually brought up this website and showed them how other stores were honoring it. I also showed them that it does not state that they could not be used with other offers on either coupon (the discount of $300, and the 10% off).

However I actually think I found a decent and possibly better deal. BH Photo has the same $300 off the new models but it also has $500 off the late 2013 models.

For the high end version the only difference is .2 ghz processor speed. At BH photo you don't pay tax or shipping so that brings the cost to $1,999 for this model. I think that's a fantastic price because it's still over $100 cheaper than what best buy would give me, and the .2 Ghz is not a big deal.

However I am in search of a coupon code or discount for BH because if I can get another $75 off the newer model it brings that into the range I would have paid best buy yesterday.

That's really odd that they won't honor it. I saw that deal at B&H Photo. The late 2013 comes with a 512 GB SSD also.

2,199? i may have to go to best buy show them my receipt from just buying it last sunday and see if they will honor that price. I ended up getting them to honor the student discount (2,199) which i thought was a good deal in itself. I don't think it'd be worth it trying to fight crowds to get it done but if it lasts all weekend i may have to drive up and do it.

----------

Y'all are referencing the Mid 2014 15 that was released in july correct?

Yes the only difference as far as I was able to find is the .2 ghz. I don't think its worth paying $200 more for .2ghz.

Can anyone chime in on how much of a difference that would really be? I am not that technically savvy.

Does Best Buy say specifically why they won't honor that price? The in store price on the MacBook was $1899.99 and I told her that online it's $1699.99. Both of my purchases were no big deal at all. Did you ask them to try scanning the coupon to see if it would work at least? If it works I don't see why they wouldn't honor it.

Personally, when making a big investment I would want the latest and greatest. That's

They did try to scan the coupon and it did not take anything off. Both stores tried to scan it. I guess I can pay the extra $75 more than I would have paid at bestbuy. Still wish I could find a coupon code for like $50 off

I am probably going to make the purchase here soon. Had to eat some Thanksgiving food then play football. Now I am at Thanksgiving dinner.

I am going to search real fast for BH Photo coupon code.

I made a purchase on eBay.

I was able to pay approximately $75 less than Bestbuy would have charged, and this is for the most current model.

This purchase is covered by eBay money back guarantee. The seller is also providing full insurance, tracking number, and signature required.

This means my purchase should be completely safe. The product is new in box, sealed, and never used. Comes with the full 1 year apple warranty.

I am excited about my purchase. Paying 0 shipping and 0 taxes I saved $598.94 off retail (or 24% discount) That is an unheard of discount on a fully loaded MacBook Pro!!!

I got on the online USPS website and got a movers coupon for Best Buy. However in the small print, it is not valid between 11-27-14 and 12-1-14 even though it doesn't expire until 1-31-15. I was all ready to purchase the 15", 2.5 processor, 512 GB Mac Pro retina off of Best Buy website. It still would have cost me extra, around $182 in Texas state tax. I could have picked it up at our local store in three days.

I am considering the same price and same model on B&H Photo. However after reading in these forums, I see that their return policy is less than desirable in case there is damaged shipping. Shipping appears free and I would not have to pay the $182 tax through them. Anyone here ever buy a computer through B&H Photo? Thanks.

Glad to hear you found one at a great price! You'll love it! I just need to figure out what case and sleeve to buy for mine now. I ordered stuff for the 13" before I found out about the sweet deal best buy had.

I just pulled my movers coupon up and it didn't exclude any dates. I wonder why there are different ones going around.

There actually are different versions of the Best Buy movers coupon. Some are 10% off entire order, some are 10% off single item, some already expired, others are not.

That being said, Best Buy has a great deal but you have to be lucky for them to honor the deal. Also my eBay deal was BETTER than the Best Buy deal as I did not pay tax or shipping and handling. (Saving 75$)

Lastly I happily already have a cover, and case From my 2007 MBP that died 2.5 years ago.

I doubt if Best Buy will still have the sale I was after by the first; I would like to take advantage of the mover's coupon; but at least B&H advertises that their price is good through most of next year

eBay has better deals. Also you have money back guarantee.

Praesto, from things I have read, the "ebay money back guarantee" has its flaws. Unless there is just superb feedback, I don't spend large amounts at a time there. Just cutting down my risks, and perhaps overly cautious. I figure I will either do the Best Buy, if they have the same price Monday, where I can use my mover's coupon and take it back to the store if there is a problem, or go for a refurbished off of the apple store; or may make the move towards B&H's good price even though there is a slight risk there with that store's return policy. Thanks for your reply though. I wish you every bit of joy and luck in your ebay purchase. :)

eBay does still have its risk. Luckily I am having the product shipped to offices where it will be opened on camera. It's hard to argue against that as I will have video proof of the product being opened and eBay would give me my money back if it was the wrig product.

Though I have not yet had a problem on eBay, and I will be vigilant in making sure this is the right product
