Tahoe was the first time I noticed a slight slowdown. After a few updates it is better but I suspect Golden Gate will be faster since the Neo has only 8gb ram and Apple doesn't want Neo users to have a bad experience.
My M2 MBA does basically everything as well as it did when I first bought it. So there is no compelling reason to upgrade, specially due to recent prices. I figure by the time I really need to replace my M2 MBA the Neo might be decent enough or a refurbished M whatever MBA base model should be good enough.
One of the reasons Macs are so popular is how long they last and how well they work while they do. Windows laptops just don't match up. They may last as long but the experience is not the same.
