Right, it's only the Mini's that are affected. Sure if you say so.
Hunh?? First you were arguing against the idea that the Mini's situation could be due to a shortage, since there are other products that aren't showing a shortage.

I agreed there are other products that aren't showing a shortage (like the iMac), but explained why that may not apply to the Mini. Your bizarre response is to complain that I agreed with you about the first part.

Sorry, it's a waste of time trying have an interchange with somehow who doesn't even seem to understand the conversation we're having. I'm done.

All sort of things could be at play here.
There's some really interesting ideas about it all, particularly from @theorist9.

Who knows .. I just hope it sorts itself one way or another.

I'd like to get a Mini again.

Obviously they didn't expect a run on the base machines for local AI servers. Who would? Those things are as unpredictable as all the crypto mining cannibalization causing NVIDIA graphics boards shortages years back. Some bubbles are unpredictable and come out of nothing. While corporate heads like to think they can create them out of hype, not the case in real life.

The Mac mini is too versatile as a product, the AI people like it, people with tight budgets appreciate the low price and nerds get decent specs like 8 tb of onboard storage! It's also great for everyone who uses a desktop 99% of the time, but goes on a trip and still needs a computer. Hopefully the production adjustments were successful.
