Do you think we will get 40 GPU cores?

I mean 40 GPU cores with 35% faster performance per core will make quite an upgrade.

Any CPU or memory bandwidth increases?

Yes you can expect 40gpu cores....and probably more memory bandwidth. An increase in gpu by 30-40% would be insane since we expect the same 5nm and not the new 3nm
Probably we will find out everything in couple of weeks

I am very excited to see what the M2 Pro and M2 Max chips will offer. Should be a substantial upgrade over the M1 chips.

while i agree i still think the more substantial upgrade will be the M3 "family" when they will go for a true 3nm architecture
This M2 will be for those who are not still in the M1 family or for those who benefits for every extra gpu boost

Yep, I can’t see any reason for someone with an M1 Pro or Max really needing to upgrade to an M2, unless they have found they need more RAM or storage than what they originally got on their M1.
