I downloaded this Disney + app on Apple TV and it's advertising a feee trial period. If I decide to go with Disney+ does it bill directly to my apple account via an in app purchase, or will I still have to registered separately with disneys website? Would prefer to do it as a subscription through Apple, making future cancellation much easier

Thanks!

Billing goes through  if you do the trial through .

Thanks!

Do you know if I still have to register separately on the Disney site or does the Apple TV take care care of the account for me?

I’m doing the same as you. Knowing my history with Apple subscriptions, you won’t have to do a thing if you want to continue past the trial period.

I’ll let mine go for now. I like these subscription services in that it’s easy enough to cancel for a few months compared to cable. Disney’s catalog ain’t that big, but $6.99 to watch as much as you like for a month is a great deal. Then put it to rest until you get the urge to binge a few Marvel films.

You don't really download Disney+, it's one of those that manufacturers think you need and DL them for you and puts them in your library. It may not be in the forefront or Fornt Page, but it is included in searches, as I have found, even if not set up to be used.

One of my credit cards has a virual account option. When I am not sure whether or not I would want to continue, or know that I won't want to continue after the trial period, I use a virtual account number generated for that specific amount or 30 day period for that vendor only. That way I get reminded when they try to bill and the renewal is rejected. I can then decide whether I want to continue. Too many times I have forgotten and have been billed for a service that I didn't want to continue.
