Basic Automator question

I've searched here, looked at AutomatorWorld and checked the info on Apple's site, but can't figure it out.

Can I use Automator to make my PB automatically switch to my Logitech USB headset in all apps (= in System Prefs, I guess I mean) each time it's plugged in, and un-switch when I unplug it?

I just need to know if I'm barking up the completely wrong tree here 😛

I hardly know automator...but from what I know...I dont think so...but i really have no clue.

im sure others know far better then i do

I don't think so - not least since Automator only has 'actions' for a limited number of applications.

Automator is more of a batch processor for files/URLs where you're doing exactly the same task for each - with perhaps a few minor changes like where you are saving it.
